Welcome to the first installment of the Real Estate PLUS Team's newsletter. We're taking the liberty of sending this to some of the folks who've worked with us or asked for Real Estate information from our web site network in the past year.

Market Watch

In El Dorado Hills, the Real Estate market is hotter than ever, despite rising interest rates. In May, 2004, RE/MAX Gold and our co-operative brokers in the Multiple Listing Service sold 89 homes, for a total sales volume of $53,139,764. During May of 2003, in contrast, RE/MAX Gold and our co-operative brokers sold 61 homes, for a total sales volume of $31,517,602.

Indeed, by just about any criteria you can name, things are looking up! Here are just a few examples:

As you can see, the time a home spends on the market has decreased since last year, while the ratio of what sellers are getting to what they're asking has increased. Demand for our entire area, and El Dorado Hills in particular, has perhaps reached an all-time high.

Team Related News

Well, the really BIG news is that our top producing Realtor®, Vicki Agregado, is getting married, to Bill Babcock. So Vicki, whose maiden name is Heath, will probably end up something like "Vicki Heath-Babcock". But of course, in Real Estate, our names become brands, so Vicki may end up being known to past clients as something like Vicki, the artist formerly known as Agregado.

Meantime Prince, I hear, is known as Prince again. It's hard to keep up!

In all seriousness -- Vicki and Bill, you're both really great people, and we wish you all the best!

1,000 Visitors Per Day and Growing

Our other announcement in recent weeks is that the team has acquired and re-launched two new web sites, formerly owned by John and Team Real Estate back when John was doing Real Estate as a hobby. These sites http://www.eldoradohills-realestate.com and http://www.folsom-realestate.com have already increased our sizeable Internet market share by some 8-10%. Moreover, in May we passed another important milestone in our Internet business, recording over 1,000 unique visitors per day on average! Thanks to all the agents in our "extended team" who've worked so hard to help us help the many clients who've called in. We especially want to thank our hard-working lender, Linda Spafford, as well as our great "extended team" -- Wendy Lovatt-Dougherty, Pat Lahey, Bridget Felmley, Dan LeKander, Sylvia Moore, Judy Wheatley, and so many others! We appreciate your help and your friendship.
